Days To Be Grateful For
Today I had a really enjoyable day. Although we have had sick kids home all week and my day started out quite rushed and scattered, it panned out to be quite good. There wasn't really just one thing that made it great either but just a few things that I accomplished and felt good about getting done. Strange the things that can make us happy as adults sometimes; like for me today, cleaning the freezer. One of those jobs that doesn't get done because I'm so busy doing other housework like washing clothes or mopping floors. I was so happy to finally get a chance to clean it out.
I went and did the shopping with the other half and we stopped for a cuppa and something to eat. Normally if we do this, it's on the go because we are always so busy we don't have time to stop but we grabbed a couple of scratchies, sat down and enjoyed each others company and a few quiet minutes. We popped in to our local cheapo shop to grab some paper for the printer and I had a quick squizzy at the books on special and came across this little gem. I was stoked!!!
I helped my oldest son with one his assignments. Normally this is a hard task because the other kids don't give me 5 seconds peace but it was great to get a chance to sit with him and discuss it together.
I washed some clothes, got them out, cleaned my shower and ensuite and just generally pottered around the house. I even managed some crochet time and whipped us this little beauty.
The idea was from the book except she used just a cheap barbie style doll that she then dressed up to her own preference where I used one of the Begoth dolls that I collect. I was so happy with how it turned out.
